About the area

Calle Carretería sits right at the edge of Málaga's Centro Histórico, a street that's undergone real regeneration in recent years, now lined with fashionable cafés, restaurants and shops, while still holding onto its historic charm and even remnants of the old medieval city wall nearby. From here, you're a short walk from Plaza San Francisco, Calle Larios, the Cathedral, and Málaga's best-known cultural and gastronomic spots, with the beach itself reachable on foot. It's a rare pocket of the city center that feels both lively and lived-in, not just a tourist thoroughfare.

The property

Want to live peacefully in a penthouse right in the center, with real character? This is it.

Set on the top floor (second floor) of a small, well-maintained building with its own Spanish patio inside, this apartment welcomes you with high ceilings and the kind of original details you simply can't recreate: exposed wooden beams, a stone wall, and original flooring throughout.

You enter into a bright living room, originally a bedroom, it now has just a half-height room divider, giving you the flexibility to use the other half as a small bedroom, home office, or whatever suits you best. From here, a compact but functional kitchen leads off, alongside a good-sized bathroom.

A staircase, renovated just a few years ago, takes you up to a large bedroom with genuinely impressive ceiling height, complete with a big built-in wardrobe. There's enough room here for a small sofa, a desk, or both, whatever your setup calls for. From the bedroom, a short flight of stairs leads to a generous 11 m² terrace, a rare find in the city center, with views over the rooftops, ready to be furnished with a sofa, dining set or barbecue, exactly as you like.

This is a home for someone who wants a residential apartment with genuine character and ‌charm, ‌but ‌also ‌values ‌quiet and outdoor ‌space ‌that ‌most central apartments ‌simply don't ‌offer. With ‌its location, it's ‌equally compelling for ‌investors.
